PCS and the St. Joseph Public Library – East Hills Branch continued their partnership in 2021. PCS helped East Hills improve their collection by evaluating their current selection and offering education around which themes to promote and avoid.<\/p>\n
The Library joined PCS in celebrating Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month by creating a display with books and resources about developmental disabilities and inclusion. The library also added books about developmental disabilities awareness and acceptance to their online reading program.\u00a0<\/p>\n
PCS donated 35 new books, one of which was written by a local author with a developmental disability.<\/p>\n
Each book contains a tag to inform community members they can call PCS with questions about resources and access for individuals with disabilities and their families.<\/p>\n
PCS is extremely grateful to the St. Joseph Public LIbrary for their partnership and we’re excited to work with another organization as passionate about creating awareness as we are!<\/p>\n
